Vatican charities asked to comply with new rules governing transactions, documentation

Catholic World News - August 30, 2013

The Italian journal L'Espresso notes that tough new policies regarding financial transactions at the Vatican, put in place to ensure compliance with laws against money-laundering, are now being applied to charitable foundations established by the Holy See. These foundations, which maintain accounts at the Vatican bank, are expected to provide the Financial Information Authority with thorough documentation for all money transfers.
