Vatican meeting dedicated to budget preparation

June 20, 2013

The Vatican’s Prefecture for Economic Affairs held a meeting on June 19 to brief all staff members on the new rules of the prefecture, and to discuss the preparation of consolidated financial statements.

Cardinal Giuseppe Versaldi, the president of the prefecture, opened the meeting, which was attended by all staff members. The meeting emphasized the importance of accurate preparation of budgets and financial statements. The financial statements prepared by the prefecture will be presented in July to the council of 15 cardinals who oversee the economic affairs of the Holy See.
