The Vatican is organizing a prayer vigil on Saturday evening, May 18, for members of ecclesial movements, in preparation for Pentecost. The vigil will end with the Pentecost Sunday Mass celebrated by Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square on Sunday morning.
Archbishop Rino Fisichella, the president of the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization, said that the vigil will mark both the 50th anniversary of Vatican II and the Year of Faith. Over 120,000 people, representing 150 different movements, are expected to participate.
