Pope meets with president of Ecuador

Pope Francis met on April 19 with President Rafael Correa Delgado of Ecuador.
The Pope’s conversation with the South American leader centered on the need for solidarity with the poor, respect for the environment, and the rights of indigenous peoples, the Vatican announced after the meeting.
