CWN - April 17, 2013
Pope Francis received a soccer jersey from the Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.
The jersey, with the insignia of Messi's Barcelona club as well as the player's name and number 10, was presented to the Pontiff during his public audience on April 17.
Messi, who has shattered European scoring records, has said that he wants to meet the Holy Father. Pope Francis is an avid soccer fan.
