Vatican, Palestinian negotiators move toward accord
CWN - January 31, 2013
Negotiators for the Holy See and the Palestinian Authority have announced progress toward the completion of an accord that would define the legal rights of the Church on Palestinian land.
After a January 30 negotiating session at Ramallah, the two sides agreed to work promptly on technical details of a proposed agreement, and expressed their hope that “negotiations be accelerated and brought to a speedy conclusion.”
The Vatican delegation met with Palestinian officials after an earlier negotiating session with Israeli officials, aimed to conclude an economic-juridical agreement between the Holy See and Israel.
