Philippines: pro-contraception demonstrator sentenced for disrupting Mass

A Filipino man has been sentenced to a 13-month prison term for disrupting Mass at the cathedral in Manila to deliver a message in favor of contraceptive use.

Carlos Celdran was found guilty of “offending religious beliefs.” He has said he will appeal the court’s decision.
