Papal prayers for Brazilian nightclub fire victims

Pope Benedict XVI has sent a message of condolence or Archbishop Helio Adelar Rubert of Santa Maria, Brazil, on the death of 231 youth people at a dance club.
In his message—releayed in a telegram by Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Secretary of State—the Pope says that he was “shocked by the tragic death of hundreds of young people,” and is “sharing in the sorrow of all those who mourn them.” He promised his prayers and sent his blessing to those who were injured in the fire, and the families of those who were lost.
