Detroit priest suspended after audit raises financial questions

The Detroit archdiocese has removed a priest from parish ministry while investigating charges of financial wrongdoing.
An archdiocesan auditor reported that Father Edward Belczak apparently paid $240,000 to an "employee" who did not exist, and took $92,00 in extra personal compensation.
