Justice Sotomayor describes herself as ‘lapsed Catholic’

In her newly published memoir, My Beloved World, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor addresses the subject of her religion.
“I think I’m called ‘lapsed Catholic’--Mass for weddings and funerals,” she writes.
Justice Sotomayor is one of six Catholic justices on the Supreme Court; the others are Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justices Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy, Antonin Scalia, and Clarence Thomas.
