Priest returns to Zambia after deportation order revoked
Catholic World News - January 09, 2013
Father Viateur Banyangandora, who was expelled from Zambia last year after delivering a sermon critical of government agricultural policies, has returned to pastoral ministry in the country’s Chipata diocese.
The Zambian government, under pressure from the Church, revoked its deportation order last November. Father Banyangandora, a refugee from Rwanda who was ordained in 2005 in the Chipata diocese, returned to Zambia in January after having spent several months in his native land.
