Archbishop Nichols to meet with 'Soho Mass' organizers, express support
CWN - January 07, 2013
Archbishop Vincent Nichols of Westminster has offered to meet with the organizers of the “Soho Masses,” and expressed his support for their efforts to provide pastoral care for homosexual Catholics.
The archbishop, who has announced that the fortnightly “Soho Masses” will be discontinued, said that he hoped to meet personally with organizers and offer them his support "as you continue your efforts, as do we all, to be faithful to Christ in the communion of the Church and striving to live in accordance with her teaching.”
The archbishop’s message, read aloud during at one of the last Masses to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption church, drew applause from the congregation.
