French officials are weighing a move to restrict the availability of some contraceptive pills, because of mounting evidence of their health risks.
Health officials in France are studying the effects of a new generation of contraceptive pills, which are associated with a heightened risk of blood clots and strokes. The government plans to stop reimbursing users of the pills.
