December 07, 2012

On the early hours of St. Nicholas’ Day, workers set up a Christmas tree next to the crèche in St. Peter’s Square.

The tree, which comes from the south-central Italian province of Isernia, is 80 feet tall and 40 feet wide; it will be decorated on December 10 and lit on December 14.
