Murder attempt on missionary in Pakistan
CWN - December 04, 2012
A Protestant missionary is in critical condition in a hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, after an apparent murder attempt on December 3.
Bargeeta Almby, a Swedish native, was shot in the chest at close range by two assailants. She had been working in social programs for the Full Gospel Assemblies. Police have not yet determined who was responsible for the shooting.
Paul Bhatti, the Pakistani government’s adviser for minority affairs, said that the shooting was “a terrorist act, anti-human and anti-Pakistani.”
