Prominent liberal author faces battle with cancer, seeks prayers

Catholic World News - November 29, 2012

Robert Blair Kaiser, the ex-Jesuit who covered Vatican II for Time magazine and later was a Rome correspondent for Newsweek, has asked for prayers as he battles cancer.

Kaiser, whose coverage of Church issues made him a favorite of liberal Catholics, disclosed that doctors found an inoperable malignant tumor in his chest. He has asked friends to forward the news “to others you know who still believe in prayer.”
