Cincinnati archdiocese sues former business manager, charges over $350,000 stolen

November 28, 2012

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Ohio, has filed a lawsuit against a former business manager, charging that Thomas Martin stole over $350,000 from three parishes.

Martin is accused in the lawsuit of using a number of different ploys to milk funds from the parishes. A spokesman for the archdiocese hinted that Martin might soon face criminal charges as well, saying that Church officials are “working closely” with local prosecutors.
