Irish 'popemobile' available for rentals

November 28, 2012

An Irish businessman is offering to rent out the “popemobile” that was used in 1979, during the historic visit of Blessed John Paul II to Ireland.

Paddy Dunning purchased the vehicle from the Dublin Max Museum, where it had been stored for years after the papal visit. He is now offering to rent the remodeled van, which seats 15 passengers, for $305 an hour. Dunning promises that he will be “selective” in accepting passenger to rent the vehicle.
