USCCB grants $8.4M to home missions
CWN - November 20, 2012
A subcommittee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has approved $8.4 million in grants to help assist the 84 “home mission” dioceses in the United States. The grants are funded in part by a national collection that takes place in parishes in April.
The grants support “evangelization activities, religious education, [and] training for priests, deacons, religious sisters and brothers, and laity, as well as ministry with ethnic groups,” according to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
