CWN - November 19, 2012
Pro-family demonstrators rallied in several French cities on November 17 in opposition to the government’s plans for legal recognition of same-sex marriage.
In Paris, organizers of the demonstration claimed that 200,000 people had participated, although police put the figure at 70,000. Cardinal Philippe Barbarin joined about 10,000 demonstrators in Lyon, and Archbishop Robert Le Gall was among the 10,000 in Toulouse. Marseille was among the other cities were the demonstrations took place.
