English bishops declare day of prayer for Middle East
CWN - November 19, 2012
The bishops of England and Wales have declared a day of prayer for peace in the Middle East.
“Conscious of the civil war in Syria and its impact on neighboring countries, as well as the continuing conflict in the Holy Land, the bishops’ conference asks that a day of prayer for peace in the Middle East be observed on 4 December 2012, the Feast of St John Damascene,” according to a resolution approved by the bishops at their November meeting.
