A challenge to US bishops: 'think big'
CWN - November 12, 2012
In an open letter to the US bishops who are meeting this week, Robert Royal suggests: "Be men. Thing big. Act big, too."
Royal exhorts the bishops to take decisive action at a time when the Church faces a severe crisis in America:
To start with, forget about being nice. It doesn’t work. Be gentlemen. Be kind. But forget nice. As learned Latinists, you no doubt know that the word comes from nescius, which means ignorant.

I agree. The Church insists on an all-male clergy (which by the way I totally agree with), but I would ask that they act like men too, not timid, toady, or tepid, but brave and decisive. By the results of the last election they have to know something has been lacking in the past.
