Lebanese patriarch welcomes Pope's support for Syrian refugees

Maronite Catholic Patriarch Beshara Rai has thanked Pope Benedict XVI for his show of solidarity with Syria and Lebanon.
The Maronite leader spoke at a Sunday Mass after Cardinal Robert Sarah arrived in Lebanon. Cardinal Sarah is acting as the Pope’s personal representative, coordinating relief agencies in responding to the needs of refugees fleeing from the fighting in Syria.
