Irish priest, falsely accused of abuse, dismayed by lack of support from Church authorities
Catholic World News - October 25, 2012
An Irish priest who was falsely accused of abuse tells the Irish Catholic that the experience was “my worst nightmare.”
Father Oliver Brennan, who was suspended in August 2010 and only cleared this month, expresses keen disappointment that Cardinal Sean Brady did not restore him to ministry for nearly a year after police dropped the case against him. The experience, he said, left him with a “sense of alienation” from Church leaders.
