Vancouver archdiocese plans massive outreach to lapsed Catholics

The Vancouver archdiocese is planning an ambitious campaign to draw lapsed Catholics back to the Church, planning to air thousands of television ads during the month of December.
The Vancouver campaign, based on ads prepared by the American group Catholics Come Home, will include many ads in Mandarin and Cantonese, to reach the city’s large Chinese population.

This is a good sign. When we tend to think of evangelizing people into the Catholic faith, we tend to think of going to continents like Africa and Asia to teach the word if God. That is fantastic! But we also must look no further than home. People are losing their faith as secularism becomes the norm.
