Nigerian bishop: attack on Christian village was land grab
October 19, 2012
An attack by Muslim nomads on a Nigerian Christian village was an attempt to take the villagers’ land, according to the local bishop.
The attack, which took place on October 14, left over 30 dead.
“It is merely the latest episode of a longstanding problem, which reemerges each time the herdsmen near the villages with their herds,” said Bishop Athanasius Usuh of Makurdi.
