Pope asks prayers for Synod success
CWN - October 03, 2012
As he concluded his regular weekly public audience on Wednesday, October 3, Pope Benedict XVI asked for prayers for the success of the Synod of Bishops, which will discuss the New Evangelization.
The Holy Father reminded his audience that he would be making a pilgrimage the next day to the shrine of Our Lady of Loreto, to pray for the Synod. He will be following the example of Blessed John XXIII, who made the same pilgrimage before Vatican II. “May the Blessed Virgin accompany the Church on her mission to announce the Gospel to the men and women of our time,” the Pontiff prayed.
