St. Augustine as relevant today as ever, Pope says

On Thursday evening, September 27, the Diocese of Wurzberg, Germany, organized a concert at the papal summer residence in Castel Gandolfo, in connection with an international symposium on the thought of St. Augustine. At the conclusion of the performance, the Holy Father spoke briefly.
“Augustine is present and timeless,” said Pope Benedict. “Man's struggle, his search for the most intimate part of himself, for truth, for God, remains valid for all times. It does not concern only a master of rhetoric and grammar who lived in the disturbed times of late antiquity, but all human beings of all times.”
