‘10 Ways Catholics Can Live the Year of Faith’
September 25, 2012
The US Conference of Catholic Bishops is suggesting ten ways in which Catholics may observe the Year of Faith, which will commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council and the twentieth anniversary of the promulgation of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
The ten suggestions include going to Mass and Confession; reading the Bible, saints’ lives, the Catechism, and the documents of the Second Vatican Council; and helping the needy, inviting others to Mass, volunteering at a parish, and striving to follow the Beatitudes.
The Year of Faith begins on October 11 and will conclude on the Solemnity of Christ the King in November 2013.
