USCCB announces special Mass, Rosary novena for life, religious liberty

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has announced that a special Mass and Pilgrimage for Life and Liberty will take place at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington on October 14. Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore will preach at the noon Mass.
The USCCB is also encouraging Catholics to take part in a Rosary novena for respect for human life and religious liberty from October 14-22.

Prayer is always necessary and great, but perhaps the USCCB should, while there is still time, issue a one or two page voters guide without ambiguity, equivocation, references to “one issue voters,” equating “promotion of racism” with “promotion of abortion” Cardinal Bernardin’s laundry list approach to dumbing down the Catholic voters.
