Hobby Lobby files suit against HHS mandate
CWN - September 13, 2012
Hobby Lobby—a private chain of over 500 arts-and-crafts stores with 13,600 employees in 41 states—has become the largest company to file suit against the HHS mandate. The company’s owner, David Green, is an evangelical Protestant.
“Hobby Lobby has always been a tool of the Lord's work,” said Green. “But now our faith is being challenged by the federal government.”
“The Green family's religious beliefs forbid them from participating in, providing access to, paying for, training others to engage in, or otherwise supporting abortion-causing drugs and devices,” according to the lawsuit.
