Abortion drugs, maternal deaths linked
CWN - September 10, 2012
According to the Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute, recent studies have linked abortion drugs to increased maternal mortality in impoverished nations—belying claims that abortion drugs are a “safe” alternative to “unsafe” illegal abortions.
“Women who took abortion pills hemorrhaged over seven times more often than surgical patients, had more failed abortions that required surgical follow-up, and 20 times greater risk of operative injuries from emergency surgeries as did surgical abortion patients,” according to one study.
