Victoria, Australia: parochial-school teachers to join others on strike

Catholic-school teachers and administrators will join with other educators in Australia’s state of Victoria in a strike scheduled to begin on September 5.
The teachers are asking for a 30% increase in pay over the next 3 years, and various other job benefits. About 5,000 teachers at Catholic schools will be among the 35,000 teachers on strike.
