Chinese parents protest 'one-child' policy

In an unusual test of China’s rigid “one child” policy, a group of parents are asking for compensation because when their sole child died they were left without offspring. The parents argue that the government’s policy, prohibiting them from having a second child, is responsible for their lack of heirs.
