A listing of bishops who have been forced from office
CWN - June 15, 2012
The Italian journal L'Espresso provides an interesting list of bishops who have been removed from office--in some cases asked to resign, in others actually dismissed by the Pope--before reaching the regular retirement age.
The list includes bishops who have been accused of gravely immoral conduct, gross mismanagement, or unorthodox teaching.
