Vatican Museums to open new rooms, hallways
CWN - May 25, 2012
Several rooms and hallways in the Vatican Museums that have been off limits to ordinary visitors will soon be open for private tours.
Dark Rome, an Irish-owned tour group, has arranged to provide guided tours of the Vatican Museums that will include the Capella Nicolina—adorned with frescoes by Fra Angelico and with gold brought by Christopher Columbus from the Americas—and the Bramante steps. These areas have, until now, been open only to special guests of the Vatican.
