Australian pro-lifer faces 8-month jail term for 'rescue' activities
CWN - May 10, 2012
An Australian pro-life activist has been sentenced to an 8-month prison term because of his “rescues” at abortion clinics.
Graham Preston had been fined for attempting to block entrance to abortuaries. But the Brisbane activist refused to pay the fines, saying that to do so would violate his conscience. He has now been sentenced to prison for his refusal.
Preston, the father of 7 children, said that his family fully supports his decision to accept a prison term rather than pay a penalty for his pro-life activism.
