Nuns preparing 250,000 hosts for Dublin Eucharistic congress
CWN - April 24, 2012
The 35 Cistercian nuns of St. Mary’s Abbey in Glencairn have been entrusted with the task of producing 250,000 hosts for the International Eucharistic Congress, which will take place in June in Dublin.
“Our whole being here over the past couple of months has been focused on praying for the fruits of the Congress, because it’s no news to anybody that our Church is experiencing great difficulties,” Sister Fiachra Nutty told Vatican Radio. “We really do see this Congress as a means to build up the Church again.”
“We also have the joy of being able to follow all the events on line,” she added. “So we feel we are very much a part of Congress albeit that we do observe our rules of enclosure quite strictly.”
