Head of UN AIDS effort meets with Pontiff
CWN - April 12, 2012
Michel Sidibé, who heads the UN’s response to the AIDS crisis, was at the Vatican on April 11 to meet briefly with Pope Benedict XVI.
Sidibé, who spoke with the Pontiff after the regular weekly papal audience, is leading a worldwide drive to eliminate the transmission of the HIV virus from mothers to their babies.
