Missions week to precede World Youth Day in Brazil

Catholic World News - April 12, 2012

At the request of Cardinal Stanislaw Rylko, president of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, a “week of missions” will be held in Brazil from July 17-20, 2013, to help prepare young people to participate in World Youth Day.

Father Jefferson Goncalves, who is directing the pre-World Youth Day activities, hopes that the missions week will be a “legacy to future World Youth Days this experience of leading young people into missionary discipleship.”
