Pope offers support for efforts to eliminate land mines

Pope Benedict XVI voiced his support for international efforts to eliminate land mines at the close of his regular weekly audience on April 4.
Taking note of an international day to raise awareness of land mines, the Holy Father offered his thanks to “everyone who works to free humanity from these terrible hidden devices.”
