US bishops grant $3.5M to Church in Caribbean

The Subcommittee on the Church in Latin America of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has announced that it is granting $3.5 million to assist the Church in four Caribbean nations. According to Archbishop Thomas Wenski of Miami, $3.1 million was allotted to help rebuild parishes, convents, and rectories damaged or destroyed by the Haitian earthquake.
