Cardinal Brady repeats that he will not resign

CWN - March 26, 2012

Cardinal Sean Brady, the Primate of All Ireland, has again brushed aside suggestions that he might resign, after the release of a Vatican report critical of the Irish hierarchy’s handling of the sex-abuse scandal.

Cardinal Brady admitted that he was not sure he was the ideal leader for the Irish Church, but said “I am the person who finds himself in the position of leading the Catholic Church.” In that spot, he said, “I will continue to try to do that to the best of my ability.”
