Syrian refugees flood camps in Lebanon

About 20,000 refugees from Syria have already entered Lebanon, creating a “humanitarian emergency,” with many thousands more expected to follow.
Father Simon Faddoul, the president of Caritas Lebanon, tells the Fides news service that official UN estimates grossly understate the number of refugees, because most families do not register officially with authorities, fearful of reprisals on their relatives remaining in Syria.
