New Hampshire House approves conscience policy for contraceptive coverage
CWN - March 08, 2012
The lower house of New Hampshire’s legislature has passed a bill to protect the consciences of employers, stipulating that health-care plans need not include contraceptive coverage if that coverage would violate the employers’ beliefs.
The House passed the measure by a vote of 196- 150, after an energetic debate. The bill still faces a battle for approval in the state Senate.
