Why does this woman hate babies?

There needs to be a concerted effort by the Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to rein in the many public figures such as Ms. Sebelius who call themselves Catholics, but who in practice espouse their own brand of Catholicism. They are doing great damage to the Church. The USCCB should be forceful in challenging these public figures when their statements or positions are out of step with key Church teachings. They should also advise these public figures in private, of the seriousness nature of their positions, the damage that it is doing to the Church, and the sinfulness of their public statements if they persist. Finally the USCCB must stop their hedging and clearly come out in support Canon 915 “on the discipline regarding the denial of Holy Communion to those obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin.” The Church has always allowed a Catholic the right to follow their conscience, even if it goes against Church teaching. It is called free will. No change there, but if a person doing so happens to be a Catholic public figure (such as a government, academic, or religious leader), whose position therefore could influence other Catholics decision making, then that public figure MUST keep their decision private. If they do not do so and publically oppose the Church’s position, then the Church should take immediate, public, and decisive action (remove the person’s right to take Holy Communion because their public action against the Church put them in a state of serious sin).

Congratulations, what a great argument. Too bad the facts don't support it. What should we expect from our elected...oh I'm sorry, that's right she wasn't elected, just appointed; yet, she can make policy.
