Bishop speaks out against blasphemous play

Catholic World News - February 20, 2012

Over 100 Catholics recently gathered outside the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte to protest the performance of “The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told,” a blasphemous off-Broadway play. Local Catholics took part in daily holy hours of reparation during the two-week period in which the play was performed

“The implication that the Blessed Virgin Mary is a lesbian is gravely offensive to Catholics and to all Christians, who hold Mary in the highest regard as the Mother of the Savior,” Bishop Peter Jugis said in a letter.
