Bishop speaks out against blasphemous play

February 20, 2012

Over 100 Catholics recently gathered outside the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte to protest the performance of “The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told,” a blasphemous off-Broadway play. “The implication that the Blessed Virgin Mary is a lesbian is gravely offensive to Catholics and to all Christians, who hold Mary in the highest regard as the Mother of the Savior,” Bishop Peter Jugis said in a letter.
