Father Pavone joins in March for Life with bishop's approval
January 24, 2012
Father Frank Pavone, the president of Priests for Life, participated in the March for Life in Washington, DC, on January 23, with the approval of his bishop.
Bishop Patrick Zurek of Amarillo, announced last September that Father Pavone was restricted to ministry within the Texas diocese. But the bishop allowed the pro-life leader to join in the annual March and participate in related events in Washington.
Bishop Zurek said that there were no new developments regarding the status of Father Pavone and his leadership of Priests for Life. Father Pavone has appealed to the Vatican. “There’s nothing new until Rome says something,” the bishop said.
