Prime-time TV ads urge Catholics to 'come home'

December 12, 2011

An American group has launched a campaign of evangelization through prime-time television advertising during the Christmas season.

Catholics Come Home has purchased network time from December 16 through January 8 for a series of ads that urge inactive Catholics to return to the faith and encourage non-Catholics to explore the Church. Tom Peterson, the president of the group, explains that at a time of uncertainty in public life, “Americans are looking for someone to help answer their most critical needs.” The ads prompt viewers to recognize that the Catholic Church provides the answers.
