Cost cuts, 'green' approach for Nativity scene in St. Peter's Square
CWN - November 28, 2011
Vatican officials are planning a scaled-back financial outlay and a more environmentally-friendly approach for the Nativity scene that will appear in St. Peter's Square this year.
The creche will use the same outsized figures that have been featured in previous years. But the background will be constructed of less expensive materials. Among the energy-saving features will be LED lights.
